A starred and legendary restaurant in Provence

The Oustau de Baumanière is today a three star restaurant and is also, and perhaps above all, a historical reference in the world of French gastronomy. Since its creation in 1945, the establishment has always distinguished itself by the excellence of its cuisine and by its discreet and attentive service. Many celebrities and royalty have made the Oustau de Baumanière one of their favourite addresses.

Glenn Viel and Brandon Dehan, respectively best chef and best pastry chef of the year, received awards in 2020. They work together in the kitchen to offer their guests creative dishes inspired by Provence and prepared using local produce: leg of lamb from the Alpilles, AOC olive oil from the Baux valley, pigeon from the Costières… Glenn Viel always makes sure to highlight local gastronomy. As for Brandon Dehan, he expresses his pastry genius in surprising desserts such as the Blueberry pan-fried with basil, yoghurt emulsion and lemon freshness or the Fresh and dehydrated Raspberry, glazed coconut and dill.

Coming to lunch or dinner at the Oustau de Baumanière also means enjoying an exceptional setting. The restaurant is located at the foot of the charming village of Les Baux-de-Provence, in the heart of the Alpilles regional nature park. In fine weather, you can admire from the restaurant’s green terrace the steep, mineral cliffs that surround the Baumanière estate and the Val d’Enfer, the incredible, gigantic rock that gives the place a wild setting.
