Baumanière restaurants, for unforgettable culinary experiences in Baux-de-Provence
Welcome to the Domaine of Baumanière, in the heart of the Alpilles regional nature park. Located at the foot of the charming listed village of Les Baux-de-Provence, the establishment has been welcoming travellers in search of a change of scenery, tranquillity and authenticity since its creation in 1945. It also welcomes gourmets and lovers of gastronomic cuisine in its two restaurants, the Oustau de Baumanière and the Cabro d’Or.
L’Oustau de Baumanière, three-star gastronomic restaurant
Recognised and renowned for its excellence, the Oustau de Baumanière restaurant in Les Baux-de-Provence has distinguished itself in 2020 by obtaining its third Michelin star. The inventiveness and mastery of chefs Glenn Viel and Brandon Dehan, elected respectively “Best Chef of the Year 2020” and “Best Pastry Chef of the Year 2020” have enabled the establishment to rank among the best addresses in France. The chefs’ signature? A cuisine that is creative, authentic and respectful of local Provençal products: try the pigeon from Costières and its lavender juice, the leg of lamb “in the Baumanière tradition” or the Baumanière chocolate cream with olive oil and lemon.
La Cabro d’Or, gastronomic restaurant of Provencal cuisine
The restaurant La Cabro d’Or, also located in Les Baux-de-Provence, also honours Provençal gastronomy. Chef Michel Hulin prepares a local cuisine that he reveals with the fragrant olive oil of the Baux valley. He works closely with the producers of the region, selecting products from local farms, neighbouring fields and nearby olive mills to offer his customers the most local cuisine possible. Enjoy, for example, a back of bass with Camargue oyster juice or an organic bull tartar from Maussane les Alpilles, before finishing with a “Sambirano” grand cru chocolate case with olive oil ice cream. The sommelier at La Cabro d’or will also be happy to show you his list of typical wines of the region to accompany your dishes.
