The craft markets of Cavaillon

Nestled between the Alpilles and the Luberon, come and discover the capital of the melon and wander through the craft markets in the town centre every Monday morning. You will find nearly 200 exhibitors, offering food products as well as clothing and leather goods, without forgetting the speciality of the city which will be honoured: the Cantaloup melons. A real popular atmosphere reigns in the alleys of the town on the hill Saint-Jacques, which will transform your shopping into a real convivial moment.

You can also find the Friday morning markets at the Place des Fêtes and the evening markets every Thursday from 5pm to 7pm at the Place du Clos where local producers come to present their products in the late afternoon. These stalls are less frequented but just as enjoyable.

The markets of Arles: the largest in Provence

Discover two weekly markets on Wednesday and Saturday mornings filled with colours and smells in the heart of the Roman city. Spreading over 2.5 km, the markets of Arles are among the largest in Provence. Visit the Boulevard Emile Combe on Wednesday mornings and the Boulevards Georges-Clemenceau and des Lices on Saturday mornings to find respectively 300 and 450 exhibitors of local products.

The Provencal market of Saint Remy

Discover also the Provencal market of Saint Rémy de Provence every Wednesday morning. It stretches from the Rue de la République to the streets of the Old Town and you can find around a hundred exhibitors offering local products and crafts. A market on a human scale which brings life and radiance to the small town in the heart of the Alpilles all year round. Tastings of olive oil from the Alpilles and the famous black oil from Baux-de-Provence will delight the taste buds of admirers of the region.

The markets of Aix en Provence for lovers of larger cities

If you want to get away from Les Baux-de-Provence and visit one of the region’s metropolises, head to Aix-en-Provence, the birthplace of Cézanne. There are daily markets on the Place Richelme and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays on the Place Comtales. You will find mainly producers of fruit, vegetables, olive oil, cheese, honey and many other flavours.

The special local producers’ market in Graveson

Come and discover the Provencal market of Graveson, located between Arles and Avignon, which takes place during the summer season, from the beginning of May to the end of October. This market will offer you a total change of scene in the heart of a small village, where you will not find any retailers, the exhibitors are exclusively local producers. We are talking about a real farmers’ market, which will dazzle you with the freshness of the products on display and the friendliness of the village.
