You can expect to see several new features:
La Cabro d’Or:
Our restaurant La Cabro d’Or has been decorated in dark green and golden tones; the atmosphere is mellow and intimate. You will feel just right in this new décor as you taste the chef Michel Hulin's Mediterranean cuisine and perhaps even try Geneviève Charial's favourite dish: tuna with citrus fruits.
The gardens – 4 hectares of Provençal vegetation
It's Spring and the renewal of nature.
Follow the paths on our property and you will come across the first green peas in the superb vegetable garden, the budding flowers, the Mediterranean fragrances.
And something new: near the goats' pen, we have created a playground for our littlest guests.
Spring is also the ideal season for regenerating your body and your soul.
The Spa Baumanière offers exclusive body care with the brand "Une Olive en Provence", 100% natural beauty treatments.
A happy encounter…
Valérie Laget, doctor in human and social sciences, gave us the idea of sharing with you her practice of mindful meditation.
She will lead groups of 8 people on 3 different dates: Thursdays April 19, May 14 and June 14.
L’Oustau de Baumanière:
"I wanted to put our collection of photos on the big wall in the restaurant of the Oustau, the lighting is more intimate. Jean-André, my husband, asked me to hang the Aubusson tapestry that has been kept rolled up for more than 20 years in the storage room".
It's in this new décor, with subtle changes, that you will sample Glenn Viel's new menu. Throughout winter, the chef roamed Provence, meeting with regional farmers, and he has planted vegetables in our vegetable garden. He is still working on his new menu and we will be happy to welcome you and tell you about it.
Geneviève and Jean-André Charial offer you a selection of gourmet products discovered during their travels in the different Mediterranean countries: wonderful jams, delicious tomato sauces and much more…
To find in the Boutique of Baumanière starting on March 9, 2018
Don't hesitate to ask at reception for help planning an excursion or an activity.
Near the hotel, you can visit the village of Les Baux (classed among the most beautiful villages of France) and its fortress. In spring, the little lanes are quiet and it's not as hot as in summer. It's the best time to visit this exceptional site.
Isle sur la Sorgue: that's where Geneviève and Jean-André Charial love to wander around and hunt for objects and furnishings to bring back to the hotel.
40 minutes from Les Baux, Isle sur la Sorgue is a veritable institution for decorators and art dealers from round the world.
The Carrières de Lumières:
Definitely not to be missed - 10 minutes from the Oustau
It is the biggest multimedia installation in France.
This year, the exhibition offers a total and spectacular immersion into the works of Picasso.
As a side note, in 1959 Picasso played the role of a painter in the film The Testament of Orpheus directed by Jean Cocteau in Les Baux-de-Provence, and Jean-André Charial, 14 years old at the time, found himself taking part in the film, sporting a horse's head.
